What this site is

Postgradtruth.in is a free set of calculators and college data to help you think through the cost and likely payoff of a postgraduate course. It is general information. It is not financial, legal, medical or admissions advice, and it doesn't know your full situation.

Accuracy

Fees, stipends, cutoffs and salaries change every year. Every college page says whether its figures are verified against an official source, estimated, or not checked yet, and when. Results are estimates built on stated assumptions. Confirm every figure on the institution's or exam body's official site before you pay a fee, take a loan or lock a choice list. We aren't liable for decisions made on the basis of the site.

No affiliation

We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any college, university, exam body (such as NTA, NBEMS, the IITs, the IIMs or the Consortium of NLUs), coaching institute, bank or lender. Their names appear only to identify them.

What you send us

If you post a story, you allow us to publish, edit for length and clarity, and remove it. Don't post anyone else's personal details, anything you don't have the right to share, or anything false or abusive about a person. Corrections you report may be used to update the data.

Counsellors

Counsellors listed here are independent. They aren't our employees, and what they tell you is their own view. Any arrangement you make with a counsellor is between you and them.

Using the site

Use the site for your own decisions and research. The data file at /data.js may be crawled. Don't attempt to disrupt the site or overload the services behind it.
